Sea Coast of the Western Part of the Russian Arctic under Climate Change: Dynamics, Technogenic Influence and Potential Economic Damage

The Arctic coast dynamics has been an urgent problem over the last years, from both a practical and fundamental point of view. In this research, for first time Russian coast, we assessed damage loss territories in western part Arctic, where active production transportation hydrocarbon material are carried out. Most studied coastline is composed frozen unlithified soils with inclusions underground ice. regard, coastal zone highly sensitive to climate change its economic consequences. According our investigation literature data, erosion rates could rich up 2–3 m/year some coastline. Having estimated cadastral cost land area possible territory, as well transport infrastructure risk zone, tried predict changes total structure under consideration. particular, damages permafrost processes were estimated. assessment was conducted middle 21st century, taking into account current climatic trend, rate probable maximum warming region.
